Hi there, I am trying to upgrade the floppy drive on an ensoniq asr-10 without scsi. Is this a viable option? Will I be able to continue sampling he same as the floppy previously?

With FlexiDrive the sounds and files will be loaded only slightly faster, about a 10% faster.
This is not a limitation of the FlexiDrive, is a limitation of the floppy drive controller board of the Ensoniq.
But the sounds or files will be loaded free of read/write errors, bad sectors or any typical problem of a floppies.

Yes. FlexiImage is used to convert all Ensoniq floppies to disk image files .ima. A disk image file .ima is like a “digital copy” of an Ensoniq floppy disk, containing all same data stored on a single .ima file. Then you can copy your Ensoniq .ima disks to a USB Flash Drive or SD Card and use it with a FlexiDriveMV floppy emulator.
FlexiImage support the NON-DOS format from Ensoniq.
FlexiImage is included for free with all FlexiDriveMV products.

You can use any SD Card up 32GB. A 4GB SD Card is included with FlexiDrive.
You can store up 2500 Ensoniq floppies on a single SD card. YOu can organize your disk int folders and subfolders on the SD Card.

I’m from the Netherlands and also owning a Ensoniq TS-10. Can i use a windows computer to write the sd card for the Ensoniq? Or, if not, how do i copy my floppy discs to the sd card and works for the Ts-10?

I have an ASR-10 with out the scsi.. can I still replace the floppy drive with one of the SD units with no problems?

You can “clone” all your old floppy disk with sounds and tracks, including your OS disks of your ARS-10 into the SD Cards. We give you the software tools to copy all your disks to the SD card. Looks very amazing wise people. I have ensoniq asr-10 advanced sampling recorder. I have a floppy drive & scsi port installed. I am a real starter but can pick it things very short time and try to make success as great I could. So is that any ways to make external scsi drive to external usb drive? Any suggesion regarding this is very appriciatable. Thanks floppu emulator
Do sounds load faster with this conversion? Could you put an 8GB SD card in there and it would allow you to scroll through say 100 files?
Hello James, The sounds load faster using the FlexiDrive unit and you don’t need to use floppy disk anymore. You can use any SD card.
